Don't Tell the Canadians, They Think Everything's Great!

"KABUL, Afghanistan - Violence in Afghanistan has spiked to its highest level since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion, with an Associated Press count of insurgency-related deaths this year surpassing the 5,000 mark and a U.N. report finding that attacks have risen by 20 percent."

How long do Stevie and Petie and Maxie and Stockie and all the other Afghana-weenies really think they can keep up the domestic bullshit in a global news environment?

Six years later and the violence has now spiked to it's highest level and it seems all there is to learn from that has to do with "them" and not "us".

We no longer have the capacity to self-reflexively learn and adapt. We're now stuck in a cycle of just doing the same thing over and over again. Except that in our uniquely sanctimonious parochialism we remain singularly aloof from considerations of result. That would be too, too vulgar.

At least the insane seem to be looking for a result.
